As part of the International Association of Facilitators North America conference, Susan Peryam and George Smith facilitated a session for the local Denver nonprofit EMPOWER COLORADO, a primarily volunteer group that offers a wonderful array of services to children with social and mental health issues.
They, like many small nonprofits, are struggling in this economy to maintain their level of service and continue to meet a growing demand. Our service meant a lot to them. In addition to learning from Susan and George, the fishbowl observers had the opportunity to debrief what they learned about facilitation design and tools of the trade during the end-of-workshop discussion facilitated by Jerry Mings.
We appreciate all the participation in this "give back" to the local community, a long-standing IAF tradition
